when was the last time you were genuinely bored?

This happens to everyone, doesn't it?

Your best business ideas come when you're walking the dog.

Or stuck in traffic.

Or trying to fall asleep.

Never when you're actually trying to have them.

There's something about not forcing it that just... works.

We’ve created this culture where you're supposed to be "always on."

Checking emails at 11pm.

Having "quick calls" on weekends.

Constantly consuming business content to "stay ahead."

And it's absolutely killing our ability to think like creators.

See, creators figured this out ages ago.

The best content doesn't come from forcing it.

It comes from living life, having experiences, letting ideas marinate.

But business owners are all addicted to being busy.

Scrolling LinkedIn during lunch.

Listening to business podcasts while making dinner.

Checking Slack notifications during kids' bedtime.

When do you actually have time to think about growing your business properly?

Not just react to the next thing in your inbox, but actually think strategically about where you're going.

Creators understand that inspiration doesn't work on a schedule.

You can't block out Thursday afternoon and expect brilliant content ideas to show up.

The best creators I know have loads of downtime.

They let their minds wander.

They're comfortable with boredom.

Because that's when your brain finally has space to connect dots it couldn't see before.

Here's the thing about thinking like a creator - creativity needs space to breathe.

So, when was the last time you were properly bored?

Not Netflix bored.

Not phone-scrolling bored.

Actually, genuinely, nothing-to-do bored.

Because that might be exactly what your business needs right now.

Sometimes the most creator thing you can do is stop trying to create.

Remember, the creator mindset is all you need to grow 🌱
