There is no shortcut
There is no shortcut.
And I know that's probably not what you wanted to read while procrastinating on whatever you're supposed to be doing right now.
The more time you spend around genuinely successful people - and I mean people who've actually built something meaningful, not just Instagram accounts with lots of followers - the more you realise there's literally no fast track, no quick path, no secret you can buy.
They just never stopped.
Day after day. Year after year.
Compounding their efforts until something extraordinary emerged from what looked like ordinary persistence.
They weren't always the smartest people in the room, which is both reassuring and slightly terrifying.
But they did have something that's simultaneously common and incredibly rare: the willingness to keep going when everyone else quit.
We’re all a little obsessed with comparison and competition, constantly looking over our shoulders at what everyone else is doing.
And because of that endless scrolling through other people's highlight reels, we want quick wins, shortcuts, life hacks that promise to compress years of effort into weekend workshops.
But these shortcuts simply don't exist.
I've watched this pattern play out countless times in the creator economy.
Someone sees a successful YouTuber and thinks "I'll just copy their format and get the same results."
Someone notices a brand going viral on TikTok and assumes they can replicate that success by mimicking the surface-level tactics.
Sure, you can optimise.
You can learn from other people's mistakes.
You can get better at executing efficiently.
But fundamentally, there's no substitute for putting in the time and letting the journey play out.
Remember, the creator mindset is all you need to grow 🌱
