Some of the most talented people I know live at home with their parents.
Some of the most average people I know own several houses and businesses.
The second group is, by and large, just better at self-promotion.

Throughout the 80s and 90s he wrote on the side.
He published and self-published several books throughout this time, all of which sold poorly.
It was only in 2000, after almost twenty years of trying, that his work started selling – and eventually he landed a TV show.
He was 45.

He’d already spent years sending newsletters to his customer base.
Seventeen years later, he’s one of the biggest creators on earth.
