Prepare for your thirties

End your week inspired

Hello and happy Friday,

This week, how to prepare for your thirties

One piece of research

4 things make people happy long-term, according to research from the University of Southampton:

  1. Interesting work

  2. Economic freedom

  3. Connection with community

  4. A strong partner relationship

In your 20s, don’t beat yourself up for not achieving all of these immediately.

Instead, do everything you can to lay the groundwork:

  1. Apply for dream jobs

  2. Stay in touch with friends

  3. Avoid debt + save where you can

  4. Grow your personal and professional network

One thought

There is no one route for doing this.

For example, living with your parents can work as well as living independently.

It gives time to save and spend time finding the perfect career.

And finally, one last thing:

In fact, if you do live with your parents, you’re not ‘behind’.

You’re just a product of the economic conditions you live in…

Never beat yourself up or try to rush it.

Just keep working.
