Nobody cares (and that's a good thing)

I need to tell you something that might sound a little harsh at first…

But I promise it's actually the most liberating thing you'll hear today:

Nobody cares about you.

I mean that in the most positive, optimistic, inspiring way possible.

I've been thinking a lot about what holds people back from building or creating the life they actually want to live.

From taking those first steps toward something bigger.

And I keep coming back to this one massive psychological block:

• We think everyone's watching

• We think everyone's judging

• We think every mistake will be remembered forever

But they're not, they aren't, and it won't.

Multiple psychological studies have found that we massively overestimate how much attention other people are paying to us.

The researchers call it the "spotlight effect."

We think we're on stage with all eyes on us, when really... everyone else is too busy thinking about their own spotlight.

When was the last time you spent more than 2 seconds thinking about someone else's "cringe" post?

Or their "failed" product launch?

Or that time they went live and stumbled over their words?

You probably can't remember because you were too focused on yourself.

And that's exactly how everyone else thinks about you.

The bad news is that nobody cares about you.

But the good news?

Nobody cares about you.

That awkward first YouTube video? Nobody's keeping score.

That product that didn't quite work? Nobody's building a spreadsheet of your failures.

That slightly uncomfortable sales pitch? Nobody's adding it to their cringe compilation.

Everyone else is way too wrapped up in their own journey, their own anxieties, their own spotlight to obsess over yours.

And the moment you truly internalise this truth is the moment you become free.

Free to experiment.

Free to create.

Free to build without the weight of imaginary judgment.

I see this with the most successful founders in our community.

They're not necessarily braver or more talented than everyone else.

They've just realised that the potential upside of taking action massively outweighs the imaginary downside of judgment that never actually comes.

• They post the video

• They launch the product

• They share the journey

Not because they're fearless, but because they understand that everyone else is too busy with their own stuff to keep a scorecard of their "mistakes."

So whatever you've been holding back on...

Whatever you've been too worried to share...

Whatever you've been too scared to build...

Remember: Nobody cares.

And that's the most beautiful thing in the world.

Because it means you're free to actually do it.
