There are no geniuses

End your week inspired

Hello and happy Friday,

This week, it’s time to remember there are no geniuses.

One thought

It can be easy to assume the people at the ‘top’ have some magic to them.

Something the rest of us can’t match.

From experience, I can assure you this is not true.

All of the biggest stars of entertainment and business are normal people.

Who get anxious, envious, and sad.

So don’t worship them. Work like them.

One quote

From the great James Clear

“What looks like talent is often careful preparation.

What looks like skill is often persistent revision.”

The Beatles, then a 5-piece, in Hamburg in 1960.

They performed hundreds of shows at the very beginning of their career in Germany.

By the time they returned to England, they’d performed 5x more than any other 20-year-olds their age.

John and Paul weren’t geniuses.

They’d just done it more.

And finally, One Last Thing:

Saybrook University found a personality split happens in most well-known people.

Their public persona and actual personality totally sever, to allow them to process the fame.

It just shows:

The people we put on a pedestal aren’t even real.
