Let's figure out what you actually do...
I had an interesting realisation yesterday.
90% of you have downloaded my 7 Steps to 7 Figures Brand Strategy Checklist.
But I bet it's just sitting in your downloads folder right now.
I get it - another PDF to add to your "I'll definitely read this later" collection.
Right next to the workout plan you downloaded in January 😉
But unlike those other PDFs quietly judging you from your downloads folder, this checklist is actually worth digging up.
It's the exact framework I've used to write out strategy for The Sidemen, Amelia Dimoldenberg, Ant & Dec and more.
So today, to make sure you take action - I want to walk you through Part 1: Warm Up.
But first some context…
I've noticed working with hundreds of creators:
Most of them can tell you what they do.
Very few can tell you who they are.
And that gap?
That's what's keeping them stuck.
See, when you're not crystal clear on who you are and why you're building... you end up:
Creating content without real direction
Attracting the wrong audience
Building something that feels hollow
Let's fix that today.
Grab that checklist (or if you haven't downloaded it yet, grab it below).

Okay, ready?
Let's work through this together:
"Who are you?" Not your job title. Not your role. YOU. What experiences shaped you? What unique perspective do you bring? What makes you, you?
"How would you describe what you do?" Again, forget the job title. What transformation do you create? What problem do you actually solve? What impact do you have?
"What got you into doing it?" What sparked your journey? What moment made you realise this had to exist? What keeps you going?
"Who are your ultimate references?" Who inspires your work? Who shows you what's possible? Who do you learn from?
"Now define yourself in one line as if speaking to a stranger?" This is where it all comes together. Your essence in one breath. Your mission in one moment. "Nice to meet you, I'm..."
Take your time with these questions.
Write down your first thoughts.
Then write down your real thoughts.
(They're usually not the same thing)
I was working through this with a creator in our community yesterday.
Her first answer to "What do you do?" was textbook LinkedIn bio:
"I help businesses optimise their digital transformation..."
But when we dug deeper?
"I teach old-school business owners how to stop fear-blocking technology so they can actually enjoy running their company again."
See the difference?
One's what she thought she should say.
The other resonates.
This is why I love how our community approaches this:
Members share their initial answers.
Get real feedback from other builders.
Refine until it feels true.
Then use this foundation to tackle Part 2 of the checklist: “Your Purpose”
(Which we'll get into next week - it's about finding the perfect intersection between what you know and what your audience needs. Get excited for that one.)
But for now, focus on these five questions.
They seem simple.
They're not.
But they're worth getting right.
Because once you can articulate who you are and why you're building:
Your content writes itself
Your audience feels like they know you
Your business builds with real purpose
And Part 2 becomes so much clearer
I've watched creators completely transform their trajectory just by nailing this foundation.
Remember, the creator mindset is all you need to grow 🌱
