If you're not willing to be disliked, you'll never be loved
Quick thought for today.
Was scrolling LinkedIn yesterday and saw post after post after post with zero personality, zero human connection, zero reason to care.
I’m not one to complain or be overly negative, but even I was losing it a little.
But then I saw a post from the founder just... talking like a normal person about a problem he was having.
I stopped to read it, and you could say I was even emotionally invested in what they were writing about.
Here's what most brands still don't get: personality beats everything.
People buy from people they like, trust, and feel connected to.
Creators figured this out decades ago.
They don't lead with product specs.
They lead with personality.
They share their failures, their thoughts, their random observations about life.
And somehow that translates into people buying their courses, joining their communities, supporting their brands.
Because they've built a relationship first.
But most brands are still hiding behind corporate voices and approved messaging.
Scared to show any personality in case someone doesn't like it.
I mean the reality is…
…if you're not willing to be disliked by some people, you'll never be loved by anyone.
Bland is the enemy of memorable.
Safe is the enemy of profitable.
So what if your brand actually had a point of view?
What if your social media felt like it was run by humans instead of robots?
What if people followed you because they genuinely enjoyed your content, not because they had to for work?
Something to think about…
📈 Creator Stocks
This week's pick: Kane Parsons and his Backrooms project.

Kane spent his school evenings making sci-fi horror animations on YouTube.
Painstaking work - could only render one shot a day because of how long it took.
But the content was brilliant.
Dark, creepy, engaging.
Millions of views.
And now?
A24 just greenlit a full Backrooms film with Kane as director.
He's 19 years old.
This is exactly how the film industry should work, honestly.
No film school.
No connections.
No waiting for permission.
Just great content that proves itself with real audiences.
A24 has backed content that was already proven to work.
That's the creator economy changing everything.
The best ideas rise to the top based on merit, not politics.
Kane's basically shown every creative out there the new blueprint:
Build your audience first, then let the industry come to you.
Remember, the creator mindset is all you need to grow 🌱
