Here's the truth about being a creator...

A lot of you have been asking me what's coming next in the creator economy.

Fair question.

But my answer might surprise you.

After years of managing the Sidemen and working with hundreds of creators, I'm seeing a shift.

And it's not the gold rush many are predicting.

Let me break down what's actually happening (and why it matters for you, even if you never plan to be a full-time creator).

1. The Creator Middle Class is Shrinking

Here's a number that might shock you: $23,500.

That's what 78% of creators actually earn.

Not the millions you see plastered across headlines.

And in 2025? That number's going down due to creator saturation.

More creators = lower brand deals = less money per head.

2. AI Isn't Coming - It's Already Here

98.5% of creators are already using AI tools.

By 2025, that'll be 100%. No question.

But here's the interesting part: AI isn't necessarily replacing creativity (like many claim)—it's giving creators back their most valuable asset: time.

3. The Riches Are in the Niches

Mass appeal? That's so 2023.

48% of consumers are happy to pay for subscribed content.

But only if it's specific to their interests.

As brand deals dry up, highly focused paid communities will be the last profitable model standing.

4. The Great Creator Burnout

A stat that keeps me up at night: 45% of full-time creators are already burning out.

Prediction?

We're going to see a wave of creators returning to "regular" jobs.

Not because they failed, but because they're choosing sustainability over constant content grind.

5. YouTube: The New Television

2.2 billion monthly users.

A TV app that looks increasingly Netflix-esque.

Creators focusing on "shows" rather than random content.

This is where the big opportunities lie in 2025.

Even if you never plan to be a full-time creator, these trends affect your career.

1. The Creator Middle-Class Shrinking = Personal Brand is Everything While full-time creators struggle, professionals who blend creation with their expertise are winning big. Think: The lawyer who posts LinkedIn insights, or the teacher building a resource platform on the side.

2. AI Integration = New Career Currency If 98.5% of creators use AI, imagine how many of your competitors are already using it. The question isn't if you'll adapt, but whether you'll do it before or after everyone else.

3. Niche Focus = Career Moat The same principle that makes creators successful in niches? It's your ticket to becoming irreplaceable at work. The more specialised your knowledge, the more valuable you become.

4. Creator Burnout = Sustainability Wins The creator burnout wave is teaching us something crucial about modern careers: Sustainable success beats short-term hustle every time. This is about building systems that last.

5. YouTube's Evolution = Professional Storytelling Matters As video becomes the new PowerPoint, your ability to present ideas in engaging ways will be essential for your career growth.

If I could wrap this up on one point, it’d be this:

I’m not trying to teach you how to become an influencer.

I want to show how to stay ahead in a world where creator skills are becoming everyday essentials.
