Good holidays

End your week inspired

Hello and happy Friday,

This week, a few things on good holidays:

One ideas

One of the best things about the holiday period is variety.

It is so different from the rest of the year.

There are 51 weeks in which to work hard.

So now, allow yourself some time to reflect — not plan.

To switch off — not strategise.

To consume — not produce.

And to play — not work.

Your ideas will be far stronger in January with some time properly away.

Two quotes

I

Ophira Edut, entrepreneur

"Rest is a necessary part of the human process of rejuvenation. It's not a concession to weakness, but an acknowledgment of the cyclical nature of our existence."

II

Anne Lamott, novelist

"Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you."

One stat

A study from Cambridge found teams are 45% more productive and collaborative when half the members have been away from work within the past month.

And finally, One Last Thing:

Many motivated people burn out.

But truly productive ones take time off.

Sometimes, real commitment to work means real commitment to holidays.
