Ever had imposter syndrome at work?

First off - wow.

The response to Think Like A Creator's launch has been incredible.

For those who've just joined us (welcome!), and those who've stuck around through the break (thank you!) - I wanted to take a moment to set the scene for where we're heading.

This newsletter is all about taking the principles behind being an elite creator and applying them to your world - whoever you are and whatever you do.

But before we dive into the how, I thought it was important to share the why.

Why am I so passionate about this?

And what journey led me here?

Picture this: An 18-year-old kid in North London, sitting in his bedroom, dreaming way too big for his own good.

That was me, nine years ago.

I'd just dropped out of King's College London.

First term, actually.

Everyone thought I was crazy.

Maybe I was.

But I had this burning feeling that the traditional path wasn't for me.

That there was a different way to build a career.

Cut to now: I'm 27, married to my incredible wife Millie, chasing around three energetic kids in North London (the real full-time job!), and somehow managing to build cool stuff in between nappy changes.

The journey here?

Pure chaos.

Beautiful chaos.

From being the youngest creative VICE had ever hired (I literally had to get my dad to co-sign my contract 😅), to launching the UK's first Gen Z agency at 19, to becoming Chief Creative Officer at YMU by 20.

That last one was... interesting.

Classic imposter syndrome?

Oh yeah. But multiply it by about a thousand.

I spent the first few months wondering when security would realise I'd snuck in.

But here's the thing – every step of that journey taught me something.

My boss at YMU, Mary Bekhait (now the CEO), gave me some tough feedback that changed everything.

During my first review, she said: "Jordan, you're being too arrogant. You're rubbing people out the wrong way. Slow down, and bring people with you”.

That hit hard. Really hard.

It changed everything about how I approached not just that role, but every opportunity since.

Looking back, that moment was my first real lesson in the Creator Mindset.

See, we often think creators are just people making content in their bedrooms.

But what I've learned – the true Creator Mindset is about something much bigger.

  • Seeing opportunities where others see obstacles.

  • Bringing people along on the journey

  • Applying these principles no matter what you do

You don't need to be a full-time creator to think like one.

That's why I'm so excited about Think Like A Creator.

This isn't about teaching you to be the next YouTube star (unless that's your goal).

I'm here to share what I've learned about thinking differently, and how you can use it to win in your world – whatever that looks like for you:

  • Climbing the corporate ladder

  • Running a local business

  • Working in healthcare

  • Teaching the next generation

  • Or anything in between
