A week to edit. 50m views. Then Netflix called...

So... something massive just happened.

If you've been following the Sidemen, you might have caught INSIDE when it dropped on YouTube in June.

Episode one hit 14 million views.

The whole thing just... took off.

And now? We've just announced something pretty special:

I had to read that email a few times when it came through.

Still feels surreal typing it.

Here's why this is wild:

The team and The Sidemen ideated this show in January.

Shot it in May.

Edited the whole thing in a WEEK (yes, really).

And get this – we did it with about a twelfth of Love Island's budget.

A twelfth!

But it went toe-to-toe with Love Island's UK ratings on YouTube.

This isn't just a win for the Sidemen.

It's a sign of something bigger.

The media landscape has completely shifted.

Think about it:

  • MrBeast is taking his show to Amazon Prime

  • Creators are making TV-quality content from their bedrooms

  • Netflix (290 million subscribers!) is looking to creators for their next big hits

Remember when people thought YouTubers were just kids making videos in their bedrooms?

Well, Vik (one of the Sidemen) said it best: "We've managed to go from filming content in our bedrooms to working with the biggest streaming platform in the world."

But here's why this matters for you:

The game has changed.

The gates are down.

You don't need:

  • Massive budgets

  • TV executives' approval

  • Traditional media backgrounds

  • Decades of "paying your dues"

What you need is:

  • Creative thinking

  • Quick execution

  • Understanding of what audiences actually want

  • The guts to just... make stuff

We shot a reality show in a week that Netflix wanted to buy.

Not because we had the biggest budget or the fanciest equipment.

But because we understand what people actually want to watch.

The bigger lesson?

Stop waiting for permission.

Stop waiting for perfect conditions.

Stop waiting for someone to "discover" you.

The creators winning right now are the ones who just... create.

They make TV-quality content with YouTube-style speed.

They build audiences without gatekeepers.

They prove themselves before asking for permission.

That's the Creator Mindset in action.

And it's working.

Chat soon,

Jordan

P.S. Mental to think that 10 years ago, Vik was getting weird looks at school for recording himself playing games. Now Netflix is calling. Makes you think, doesn't it?
